EMMY Award Winner Tyce Diorio has been a powerful force in the entertainment industry since he was a teenager. Originally from Brooklyn, Diorio attended New York City’s famed LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts and, at only 17 won Star Search while setting a new record with a perfect 4-star rating each week. After moving to Los Angeles to dance in Paula Abdul’s videos and world tours, Diorio’s talents truly blossomed; He eventually worked with artists such as Janet Jackson (“Janet” & “Velvet Rope” albums /world tours), Ricky Martin (livin la vidaloca), Jennifer Lopez, Mya, NSYNC, Kelly Osbourne, Céline Dion and Toni Braxton. In addition to performing on numerous TV shows and films, Diorio also starred in the Tony Award winning Broadway hits Fosse ( principle role) and Chicago.
As a choreographer, Diorio has become one of the most in-demand and recognized names in the industry. On FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance 15 seasons (in which he is a recurring choreographer and guest judge), Diorio won the EMMY for “Outstanding Choreography” for his renowned “Adam and Eve” piece, as well as his captivating tribute to breast cancer.Diorio has contributed to other major projects including Drop Dead Diva on Lifetime, Grey’s Anatomy on ABC, Big Time Rush on Nickelodeon, the People’s Choice Awards (with Queen Latifah), the MTV Movie Awards (with Tom Cruise and Jennifer Lopez), commercial campaigns for “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” (starring Megan Mullally), and the feature film What to Expect When You’re Expecting (starring Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Matthew Morrison and Megan Mullally). A World Choreography nomination for the dance film “HighStrung Freedance”. Choreography for the TV show “Faking it” starring Laverne Cox.
In the music industry, Diorio is at the top of his game. In addition to working with legends like Cher on her residency show at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Diorio was the choreographic force behind Taylor Swift’s RED, 1989, Reputation & Lover World Tours/albums and performances . Working closely with Swift, Diorio created numbers for The Brit Awards, Billboard Awards, Grammys, American Music Awards, and the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Diorio choreographed her most well known “Shake It Off”, “Look what you made me do” & “ ME!”music videos ( iheart radio best choreography nomination). Other artists include The Weeknd & Lorde . Most recently finished choreographing a production of “The Addams Family” to rave reviews for his work at the Cape Fear Regional Theatre …other productions include Bridgerton the musical and Music City in which he won a Broadway World award for Best Choreography .
