High school seniors and transfer students interested in majoring in dance at the University of Arizona are invited to participate in the Arizona Dance Program Audition, held during the Arizona Jazz Dance Showcase (AJDS) on Friday, September 19.
This audition is one of three national auditions hosted annually by the Arizona School of Dance for prospective members of the following year’s incoming class. The audition will include a range of technical styles and will conclude with a Q&A session for dancers and their families, led by faculty advisers.
Please Note:
-
Registration for the BFA Dance Audition is separate from AJDS registration.
However, if you select age 17 or 18+ during AJDS registration, you will be prompted to indicate whether you plan to audition. -
This audition is not the Scholarship Class—however, students participating in the BFA Audition may opt into scholarship consideration for external awards by paying an additional $30 fee during registration. (These awards include opportunities such as summer intensives, convention scholarships, and cash prizes, and are not connected to University of Arizona merit-based financial aid.)
-
Capacity is limited to 100 dancers, and registration will close once capacity is reached.
-
Receiving a waiver or invitation does not guarantee a spot—early registration is strongly encouraged.
-
All audition requirements must be completed prior to attending the on-campus audition.
If the audition reaches capacity or you are unable to attend, visit
